MEMBERSHIP

If you are a violin, viola, cello or bass player of any age, please join us! The orchestra is open to all string players who are looking to play  quality music in an orchestra setting.  

​

The LSO has always emphasized that membership with the orchestra is open to anyone with interest. If you can read music and have a desire to play in group setting, you are welcome to join us together in music!  The LSO does not hold auditions.  

 

Membership with the LSO allows you to play for either the Junior or Senior orchestra, or both should you desire.

BEGINNER - LEVEL 1 & 2 ORCHESTRAL MUSIC

1. Provide beginner level orchestral music 

2. Learn basic orchestral skills

3. Learn and enhance basic note reading skills

4. Provide an enjoyable playing experience

5. Support the member on their musical journey

6. Prepare the member for senior orchestra

INTERMEDIATE - LEVEL 3+ ORCHESTRAL MUSIC

1. Provide challenging orchestral music

2. Help enhance the members musical skills and abilities

3. Provide an enjoyable playing experience
